Celebrating its first Holiday season, Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo wants to bring Christmas back home to the family as it lights up its Christmas centerpiece. Paying homage to the old Iloilo Airport where the hotel (and the whole Iloilo Business Park) now stands, the Christmas centerpiece brings a lot of nostalgia to the Ilonggos. With a 13-foot replica of the old control tower (the original one still stands right across the hotel), a model airplane made of gingerbread and Christmas trees of different sizes, Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo brings back the memories of the place where families used to separate but most importantly reunite especially with the warmth and joy of celebrating the holidays “It's time to come back home and celebrate the Holidays, with nobody else but the family" greets Ms Cleofe Albiso, General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo during the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony . Her Holiday message on the values of gratitude and of being with family — the people who matter to us the most is reflected by the hotel’s lobby dressed up in colors of gold, copper and crimson red, adorned with world globes, compasses and vintage bags, all depicting a beautiful story of a journey traveling back home especially during Christmas. She then led the first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony together with hotel executives namely Frances Carmen Siongco - Human Resources Manager, Maia Israel - Dir. Of Operations, Joy Alonte - Dir. Of Sales, , and Marlon Galo - Asst. Dir. of Finance, together with the special guest Iloilo City Mayor Joe Espinosa III.
Providing the night’s awesome musical entertainment were acoustic duo Glynis & Anton and SF School of Dance with the Sta. Maria Parish Grand Choir as the night’s musical highlight.
