Triumph 125 years awards.....

The first load of photos from the Triumph awards landed in my inbox this morning! Straight from the excellent Z who has become my photographer for the blog. I trust her excellent skills with a camera....and gin. So it's a match made in alcoholic heaven!
blazer - River Island
Skirt - River Island
Vest - Topshop
bag - Urban Outfitters.
I don't know why I look like I'm dancing but, why not! After a couple of glasses of champagne, I'll dance all I want to!!!
I got to meet the stunning George Lamb and he put his actual arm around me! I nearly died! He was hosting the night and announcing the winners with his usual blend of London humour. Very well done! But there was a long queue of women waiting to meet him afterwards! He was very good and put up with all of it. Staying to chat for a while afterwards.
I also got to talk to Brix Smith Start from Gok Wan's fashion fix and owner and buyer for Start boutique. She told us that she loved 'Why do dishes when you can do daiquiri?' From designer Stephen Foley from Limerick School of art and design. She thought it was very fun, kitsch and a little bit Japanese inspired. Stephen came second with his wonderful design which was rooted in 50's fashion.
This was the winning design by Sarah Ryan, also from LSAD. I am so proud of the college that they got not just first place, but second and third. Each year the college produces a wealth of talented new designers who go on to produce amazing designs. I went there to study sculpture from 2004 - 2009. But the construction and style of Sarah's piece was stunning. It was so well put together and fitted the model perfectly. As if it was made for her body.
I got to meet some lovely people that night and after a few glasses I actually had the confidence to talk!!! I'm so shy! I was so pleased when this lady came over to say she bought her dress (it's from Zara, I've been eyeing it up for ages) after seeing it featured on my blog. I was so proud!!! I featured the dress because it's bang on trend for this season. Combining the bursts of color as seen on Jil Sander's catwalk and the simple design of the dress means it can be worn with a multiple of different accessories. She looked amazing!! Perfectly set for summer....I on the other hand look very 90's. Obsessed with maxi skirts at the moment!
