Lotus has recently launched an amazing skin care range called Ikkai. This range has 5 face masks and two scrubs. I picked up the entire range and totally enjoying these. Today, I am talking about their Awesome Almond Face Scrub. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Ikkai Awesome Almond Face Scrub:
Ikkai range comes in a super cute packaging and they just look adorable. Almond scrub comes in a pretty orange and white pouch and some cute prints over it. The pouch carries detailed information about the product too. Now, one pouch contains 10 g of scrub that will last around 1 month or more than that if I use it twice in a week. But, I can’t reseal the pouch once I cut it off and it’s definitely unhygienic. There should be a cap or zip to secure it well. Otherwise, it’s not travel-friendly or I have to use an elastic to close it.
The scrub itself is an off-white colored cream with medium scrubbing particles. The consistency is medium and smooth that glides easily over skin and the scrubbing particles are good to exfoliate skin nicely with a gentle touch of it. It is safe for all skin types. I have to massage it over my wet face and I do gently rub it for around 3-4 minutes and wash it off with normal water. The scrub blends well and provides a nice scrubbing experience.
Scrub helps to provide well cleaned smooth soft skin. It cleanses dirt and impurities as well as removes dead skin cells to make it smoother. My skin looks fresh and healthy each time when I use it and it adds a nice soft glow to it. Though the glow doesn’t last long, but the almond particles provides deep exfoliation. The formula also provides good hydration to skin which last long. It never makes skin dry or patchy and good for all skin types. Unlike the papaya scrub, it is quite effective on black heads and helps to reduce them. But still, I can’t say that it can remove them also but it can’t do that much for white heads. This is pretty good to get a smooth soft clear skin. It also has a nice sweet fragrance. Only , I haven’t noticed any brightness or any skin lightening effect like its claim.
Overall, it’s a good scrub that adds some nice texture to skin. Also, this product is preservative free, cruelty-free and eco-friendly. But, it’s a small pouch that will not last long and it is not available in any big tube too. Now, initially the price looks good but when you compare it with the quantity then, Lotus has full size scrubs once you add few more bucks. Otherwise, it’s definitely a good try and suits to my sensitive skin nicely.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lotus Herbals Ikkai Awesome Almond Face Scrub?
Actually, these are good when you are traveling but here again, the packaging is not so travel-friendly. So for home uses, I prefer a tube product. It’s a decent scrub to try. Hence, you can definitely try it as a new fun scrub just to experiment it.
